Finding Your Calm…

Each of us deal with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Each day is different and fresh and new.  However, some days are more difficult than others.  Those are the days that you need to find your calm.

Finding your calm will vary from person to person and potentially dependent on the situation at hand.  For me, personally, finding my calm depends on the day and situation and may take on different shapes.  My main calm is sitting outside feeling the breeze, listening to the birds chirp, watching the sun set or rise.  However, other ways I find my calm is through journaling/writing, reading, listening to music, scrapbooking, knitting, and many others.

The first step to finding your own calm is taking time to focus on yourself.  While focusing on yourself may be difficult for you at first, but it does get easier with time.  Taking the time to step away for the busyness of your life is often a necessity.  You can find your calm in a variety of ways.  They may include:

  • meditating
  • walking in a park
  • praying
  • reading
  • go fishing
  • swimming
  • picking flowers
  • writing a letter

Finding your calm isn’t limited to the list above.  Whatever you find comfort in may be on your list of ways to find your calm.  Good luck!
